Nepal, Kanchanpur: arsenic contaminated water

The locals of Kanchanpur are compelled to drink arsenic contaminated water. Acting Chief of District Drinking Water and Sanitation Sub-Division Office Roshan Chaudhary told that [...] arsenic was detected in 1580 out of 53,177 hand pumps tested in Kanchanpur. [T]he Drinking Water Office is planning to construct an overhead tank to distribute arsenic-free water to the people.
